
Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Myrto is a performer and creative based in New York City. Growing up in a family that valued art, books, records and travels more than anything else and being inspired by her grandparents, both actors, she knew she wanted to be on stage since the age of five.
Earning a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Athens and simultaneously her Diploma in Dance and Dance Teaching with distinction, she started working with Anima Libera Dance Company and was one of the first dancers to join MAZI, a new dance theatre company based in Athens.

After performing and teaching in Athens, she was invited to audition and got accepted into the Steps on Broadway Conservatory in New York City where she trained in musical theatre, explored various kinds of dance and had the opportunity to work with well-known choreographers. She has performed with Steps Conservatory at the Joyce Theater, Ailey Citigroup Theater, Manhattan Movement and Arts Center and National Dance Institute. She has presented her own work and has also performed as an independent artist at venues like at Steps on Broadway, Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, 100 Grand Street, Don't Tell Mama, Arts On Site, Loy Luo Art Space and Chelsea Industrial.

She is currently studying at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance and HB acting studio as she keeps on working on independent projects always eager to learn new things and expand her versatility. She also serves as a production associate with Greece in USA and the Opening Gallery. She is the co-founder, resident dancer and choreographer of Lucid, a collective which provides space for dancers, choreographers and artists to experiment and collaborate.​​
